New glaze load

I just unloaded a new glaze kiln load yesterday in preparation for my pottery sale/demo tonight. I have a new speckled rust glaze that is BEAUTIFUL so I used it lavishly on many of my pots this time. Hope to see lots of familiar faces tonight at Louisville's First Friday ART WALK. I am a featured artist at Gifts At Cooper's Corner at 940 Main Street, Louisville. Drew and I will be down there all evening with a big display of pottery for sale and I'll be doing demonstrations on the wheel occasionally throughout the night.

Fun at First Friday!

Wow, being part of First Friday last weekend was FUN! Thanks to all my friends and fellow artists who stopped by to say hello, watch me demo some wheel-thrown pots and support the local arts. And a big thank you to Julie at Gifts at Cooper's Corner for inviting me to participate at her lovely store!

I already look forward to doing it again later in the summer.

Prepping for June 2015 Art Walk

I am so excited to partipate in the June 2015 First Friday Art Walk in historic downtown Louisville. Julie at Gifts at Cooper's Corner has graciously invited to host me as a Featured Artist. I'll be doing wheel-thrown pottery demonstrations from 5-8pm and selling my pottery. I am working on my sale inventory and pricing.

Filling up the shelves

I try to always fire a full kiln load of stuff. This means I have fill all the surface area of my studio shelves.

Glaze testing

Glaze colors are very important to me, but developing and testing them to find the perfect glaze and glaze combos is not my favorite part of the job! Here are few new glaze colors I recently added to the studio collection.

December 2014 artisan show

The December show was a very small, personal show with a variety of artisans selling home made crafts, soaps and health-conscious products. Hosted by the lovely Sharon of Mountain Wisdom Yoga.

I had fun designing the advertisement for the December HOLIDAY FARE at Mountain Wisdom Yoga Studio.

2014 Fall art show

The November art show at the Louisville Rec Center was a fun show to be part of. As part of the Louisville Art Association, it was our chance to showcase the member work and sell holiday gifts and artwork to the local community. Thanks to all my friends who came out to see and shop!!

Little visitors

Sometimes my sweet daughter toddles out to my studio for a little visit. Soon enough I will teach her the wonderful world of clay. But for now we stick with play dough.
