September - MINI Workshop

Friends! Join me in my backyard studio setting for an intimate pottery workshop. In this mini workshop we will make a series of hand-built dishes using physical impressions of herbs, flowers and other found-in-nature objects. With a few tips and tools, learn the basics of rolling out clay slabs, cutting shapes and adding texture techniques using natural flowers and herbs. During the first day we will hand-build our pieces using various textures and patterns. Several weeks later we'll gather again to glaze your work once they have fully dried and been bisque-fired in the kiln. We will be using mid-fire cone 5 clay and a variety of glazes. Final projects will be ready 7-10 days after glazing. No experience is needed and all materials will be provided. Located in Melissa’s backyard/deck and studio space (or kitchen table if weather is bad).

Ages 18+ only. Minimum class size of 3. Max class size of 6.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be requested via email 10 days prior to first class for a full refund due to planning and supplies needed for these customized events. Refunds will not be given for last minute cancellations.
